Ben & Lauren (aka Stitch & Figgy)

Thru-hikers Ben & Lauren (aka Stitch & Figgy) took 2 days off of their thru-hike to volunteer with us on the boundary. We really appreciate their time and enthusiasm to come out with us. They helped out with the Sherpa Train, then met us two days later on the trail to do a day of boundary work.

Ben & Lauren on the Sherpa Train.

Ben swamped most of the day, which means he cleared spruce and fir trees that Sally & Ellen had cut down off the boundary.

Lauren helped clear the line and swamp.

Check out Ben & Lauren's AT adventure at http://www.bltadventure.blogspot.com/

Thanks ya'll and have a great rest of your hike! We hope to hear from you after you summit!

  1. To Ellen Gass - dunno if you remember Becky & Patrick Walsh, Amy's UM Econ friends? Anyway, we're up in Vermont now (Patrick's an econ prof at a small college near Burlington). If you're still in the area (or if you get up to the VT/NH area again next year), drop us a line, we'd love to see you & your friends. And our 10-month-old loves the outdoors, and Patrick want a turn on the Stihl!
    Amy has our contact info.

Oh, and send us the imfamous "Bear Email" from a few years back - Amy censored it :)

Take care, Becky, Patrick & Molly
